Cheers & Applauses
Holler!
2 bits, 4 bits, 6 bits, a dollar for all our scholars,
stand up and holler!
Wooooo!
Roller Coaster
Students make roller coaster noise as if they are riding up a roller coaster.
Once they hit the top, shout "WOOOO!", on the way down to applaud their classmate.
Blast Off!
Students countdown from 10 while slowly squatting to the ground, after 1, explode up and shout "BLAST OFF!"
X-Cellent Applause
Students stand up and jump into an X position while exclaiming, "Excellent!"
Tortilla Clap
Students clap as if they were flipping a tortilla from hand to hand.
Standing O
This applause means standing ovation.
Students stand up and make an O with their arms over their head and exclaim, "Standing O!"
Oreo Clap
Students pretend to break apart an oreo.
They then lick the middle (pretend to lick their hand).
Clap.
And say, "MMM,MMM, Gooooood"
Coyote Cheer
Students give themselves coyote ears.
As a class, howl like a coyote.
Pencil Cheer
Students pretend to sharpen a pencil.
After sharpening, take it out of the sharpener, blow on the tip, and say "You're sharp"
Firework Applause
Students make a sizzling noise while their fireworks are rising.
At the top, students clap and on the way down, students have jazz fingers to symbolize the falling firework.
Alien Applause
In an alien voice, students exclaim "You're out of this world"
Alligator Clap
Students make arms like an alligator and clap.
Singing Good Job
To the tune of "Goodbye" students will sing good job.
"Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good job"
Round of Applause
Students clap their hands in a circle motion giving their classmate a "round of applause"
Good Stuff
Students pat their neighbor on the shoulder while telling them "good stuff"
Students may also give themsevles a pat on the back while saying "good stuff"
Bubble Gum Clap
In 3 breaths, students "blow a bubble" gradually making it bigger.
After the third breath, students clap 1 time to pop the bubble.
Spider Applause
Students tap their fingertips together to applaud their classmate quietly like a spider.
You're Thinking
You're thinkin, (one finger taps head)
You're thinkin, (another finger taps head, other hand)
You're really really thinkin! (both fingers tap head)
Hamburger Cheer
Two hands facing down, "SSSSSS" "SSSSSSS",
"Is it done yet?"
Flip one hand over, "Nope"
Flip other hand over, "Nope"
Flip back down, "SSSSSS" "SSSSS",
"Is it done yet?"
Flip one hand over, "yes!"
Flip other hand over, "yes!"
"WELL DONE!"
FANtastic Cheer
Students pretend to fan themselves and exclaim, "FANNNNTASTIC!"
